If you ever visit the city of Stockholm, which I strongly recomend, look for the statues. They are everywhere. This impresive part of a face is submerged in one of the canals in the centre of the city.

Eeeek! I was rivetted by this photo beore i read your comment. I was really disturbed, because the nose was structurally too long for a normal human face and it freaked me out for a while. Whew! Great emotional effect with this one!

@Helen: oh, sorry about this, glad you liked it at the end. The nose ia about a meter in height.
I had the same reaction as Helen. My first thought on viewing the thumbnail in the "Community" page was, "What a cooperative subject he had!" Very nice photo.

really cool statue and photo - that would make a good experiment with a model too although as Helen pointed out their nose may not be as long

@Jason Kravitz: the model must be a good swimmer!
Everybody had the same reactions of Helen. Me too! Nice picture.

An old friend of mine once made a joke about this gent who had a rather large shnaz. He said " If we had that nose full of nickles ( an American coin ) we'd be rich ! "
I think his comment applies here more then anyplace I've ever seen before . Great shot !

@Fred: well to paraphrase if this nose was full of nicels the USA could be all rich, ha ha

Freaked me out at first, but reading your description helped to calm me down :) Actually, I wish you had included some other objects in addition to the face, just to show the sense of scale of how big/small this statue is. Other than that, nicely done!
