Ioannina-Greece 05-13

The lake which touches the city of Ioannina is one of the main attraction points not only for the tourists, but the local population as well that visit it daily for peaceful walks. It was windy that day and the atmosphere was crisp and clear. Be careful now we don’t want you falling in!

With the time approaching let’s celebrate the coming of the new year.
Post one image on December 25th with a Xmas wish.
Post a second image on January the 1st 2010 and include a smile with yourself in this picture!

I live by a lake - and I would love to spend some time on this one - the picture is very atmospheric - bright, windy, cool but sunny. And your composition of wall, boat, and rushes as horizontal divisions, with mountain to the right and hills to the left to frame the edges, plus those clouds scurrying across the sky for perspective - and those blues which are uniquely GREEK blues - well, it's just perfect!

What a beautiful scene Dimitios. I particularly enjoy the dynamic created by the reeds blown by the wind one way and the boat pointing in a different direction. Mmm, it makes me think of holidays.
