a very verdant, lovely place -- no doubt but that there are many, many beautiful spots to picnic, hike, soak in, or photograph there.

@MaryB: well the hotel where I went for a cionference had this view, the water you see is a lake that meets the sea at some point, lóts of wild life in there, birds, fish, flowers, insects, regards D

@Jen: You are going to like it, Athens is good for 2-3 days, lots of things to visit, see, then some of our islands can offer a lot eg, ANDROS, MILOS, CRETE, SANDORINI, Lots of places. Visit the Greek Tourist Board site on the internet for ideas, regards D
