where is the baby?

Storks usually carry the babies home, so western tradition says, there in Central Asia simply stroll about in elegance!

This is part of a new series of photographs taken in Uzbekistan during our Easter vacation there. What we are going to see is a trip back in time, a journey to a great land of very kind and hospitable people. So bear with me for the next few days. The least expected visitor in such a place! (Maybe....it got confused......dropped the baby in some bushes and is now looking for it! You see......I believe it is a stork eaten by guilt!)

What a peciliar place for a stork to stroll around! Here they use meadows and fields where they find the table ready but where there is food here on the pavement, I don't know :). But it's a unique picture, congrats and thanks!

@Illuci: a stork is always a pleasure to see, they only nest in environmentaly clean areas, this is a good sign for nature thriving, regards D.

Hilarious! It looks like he just had a drink and a smoke and is going out for a stroll afterwards :) I think it's the pylon next to him that makes him seem to belong to this environment. Well done!

Great shot Dimitrios. Beautiful bird and I admire the architecture in the background. Nice light and clarity. It does seem like an unusual place for a storm to roam.

@Barbara: well not so unusual if you think that the bird gets food and water there. The place is a religious shrine and no harm comes to them, I saw 2 there, greetings D.
