Mosque in Buhara
This splendid mosque is elaborately decorated in the exterior with this magnificent sealing and supporting columns. Well the person standing there might you remind you of someone you met in am3!
I have been bombarding you with a lot of pictures from Uzbekistan my am3 friend and its time for a short break. I have some more to post before I can call it a day in this series but I don’t feel like pre-posting and disappearing. So more post about this wonderful journey will appear on the 15th of July. Until then be careful wherever you are and keep on communicating with your photography.
See you soon DIMITRIOS
oh no I forgot! photo was taken by my wife, credit must be given where credit is due!

@MaryB: SHE will be THRILED to bits, many thanks Mary
careful - those columns don't look beefy enough to support the roof!

@djedfre: haha they are standing there for CENTURIES!
Nice to see you, although I believe you posted at least one more picture of yourself. The architecture shows striking similarities with Western cathedrals and monasteries: the arches (Gothic) and the pillars (Greek, don't remember the style: Doric, Corynth or whatever). We in the West have learned a lot from Eastern - Arab - Persian cultures. Have a nice time and thanks for your Uzbekistan pictures!
