aunt Sofia´s jewel

Posted by
Dimitrios (ATHENS, Greece) on 15 February 2007 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

This kind lady was sitting next to me at the annual dinner of the Hellenic Wind Energy Association in Greece. We start talking and she told me that this jewel it was given to her by her Aunt Sofia, a lovely lady who had always a good word for everyone. In honor of her aunt she wears it from time to time proudly. Well as a photobloger my duty was to ask permission to photograph it and share it with you. Its monetary value is small but the sentimental value is GREAT, thank you lady, rest in peace Aunt Sofia.....

YOU ARE ALL WELCOME

Bronnie from Christchurch, New Zealand

Lovely story - I wonder if the colour balance could be made a little less yellow?
Love the detail on her neckline too.

A photo becomes so much more when there's a story behind it, especially when something within the photo becomes a symbol of a person, like this necklace is a lovely symbol of Aunt Sofia. This is a beautiful photo with a beautiful meaning.
